Privacy statement European Tournament for Dancing Students October 2019
By registering for the European Tournament for Dancing Students, ETDS, as a participant, team captain, judge or volunteer, you agree to the conditions in this privacy statement.
Who are we?
We are the organisation of the European Tournament for Dancing Students (ETDS). The ETDS is a ballroom dancing tournament organised twice a year. Participation is only possible as part of a team. These teams will be provided by several student dancing associations in Europe in the name of their originated city. Every ETDS is organised by a different committe from one of the several participating cities. The ETDS of October 2019 will be organised by a committee of team Groningen.
What kind of personal information to we collect?
We will collect the following personal information of every participant:
- Name
- Email address
- Whether you are a student or not

Your data will not be shared with third parties. The following people will have access to your personal information:
The organisation of the ETDS
Access to your personal information will be provided to a small amount of people that need the information to organise the tournament.
Your team captain
Your own team captain has access to all information shared by you, as he/she is the one registering you for the tournament.
Where will my information be saved?
Information of the registration will be saved on the servers of hosting provider TransIP BV in the Netherlands. The hosting provider does not have access to your data. Data will also be be saved in a private Google Drive file of the organisation. The volunteers system will be hosted on a server in the Netherlands. This hosting provider does not have access to your information either.
Changing my information
You can ask your team captain to change any incorrect information.
How long will my information be saved?
Your information will be saved at least until the end of the tournament. After that your name and results we be shared at the website www.etds.eu. Your name can be removed on request. After the tournament and before the start of the next tournament, your information can be used anonymously for statistical analysis, or be removed.
Can all my information be deleted?
Organisers can decide to give participants who are participating for the first time and advantage in the lottery system or offer them other advantages. If you’ve attended the tournament, your name and the fact that you participated will not be disconnected from your profile. All other information will be deleted as explained in the section above.
Online published content
After the tournament the names and results of the participants will be placed on the website with domain www.etds.eu. Your email address will remain private. Photos taken during the ETDS can be placed online and spread via social media.
